THE Great Southern Boat and Fishing Show will become Robe’s newest event.
The Robe District Council has moved to endorse the Great Southern Boat and Fishing Show as an initiative of the Robe Marina Committee.
Robe District Council CEO Bill Hender said the event would be beneficial to the town.
“Hopefully it will attract more people to Robe and assist in the sales of marine berths.”
Mr Hender said it would coincide with the annual Robe fishing competition, making it a great way to spend the weekend with both tourists and locals.
“The first Great Southern Boat and Fishing show will be in late January 2012, with the fishing competition.”
