A KINGSTON road racing duo have hit the tracks across Australia and taken home some victorious racing titles this season.
Travelling to compete on some of the country’s best tracks, father and son team Darren and David Trotter have recently completed another eventful season.
Just last month the pair received third place honours in the Inaugural Mallala 3 Hour Endurance Road Race at Mallala Motorsport Park, on November 26 and 27.
The local racers came in just two laps behind the winning team, completing 147 laps of the Mallala circuit.
David said there have been many highlights to the season including winning the 600cc experts in the largest motorcycle racing club series in Australia, the Hartwell Victorian Club Series.
Held earlier in the year, the season saw David place first in the 600cc Expert class with Darren finishing third, in round one “I had set (this) as a goal to achieve before moving up to 1000cc bike and competing in Nationals in 2012,” he said.
During the series, both father and son competed at tracks including Phillip Island, Mac Park, Broadford and Winton.
This year Darren came first and David second in the rounds held at Mac Park and Mallala. Both have previously been SA Champions, David in 2008 in the 600c class and Darren in 2010 in the 600c class.
