Surf Life Saving SA held a two day surf event at Robe for their lifesavers.
The IRB competitions are part of a winter series running from May, with Robe hosting rounds four and five.
Acting surf sports manager, Aaron Tanahill said the competitions are a great preparation for the athletes, with over 100 competitors, including some from Victoria, jumping into the water.
“The conditions were great, there was solid surf,” he said.
“Robe definitely delivered over the weekend.
“This competition keeps lifesavers proficient over winter, it is a great retention tool for the cooler months.”
The state titles will be run next month at Christies Beach on July 2.
