Students in Kingston and Robe took part in the Annual Lions Public speaking competition last week, where the students had to speak for a minute on a topic on a subject that they chose at random.
The competition enhances public speaking skills in school-aged children.
The Kingston comp was judged by Norm Sommerville from the Lucindale Lions Club and Lorraine Watson from the Kingston Lions Club, who said they were impressed with the way the students took to the task.
Kingston winners were 1st Max Little, 2nd Alice Drabsch & 3rd Brooke Schirmer, who will attend the Grand Finale Challenge in Lucindale on Wednesday 6th July.
The Mad Minute competition is growing and will eventually be held right throughout S.A, with every possibility of going Australia wide.
