Police hurt during arrest in Kingston

Two police officers received injuries during an arrest at Kingston on Saturday.

Just before 11pm, Saturday 15 April, patrols attended a dispute in Kingston.

It will be alleged the man lunged at two officers as they attempted to arrest him.

They received injuries to their knee and hand. Both officers attended Kingston Hospital for treatment.

The man a 33-year-old from Murray Bridge was arrested and charged with breaching an intervention order, assault police and resist arrest. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on 18 April.

Police warn they will not tolerate domestic violence and will take every action available to protect victims.
