Emergency services, with the assistance of members of the public have rescued a fisherman who fell off the Robe jetty this evening.
About 8pm on Thursday 9 November a man was fishing at the end of the Robe jetty. He had hooked a large fish which he was attempting to land when he fell into the water.
His friends that were fishing with him called for assistance,
Police, paramedics, CFS and SES members were notified and attended.
Police notified local fishermen who attended the scene quickly rescuing the man from the water in a boat and taking him to shore.
The man in his 60s was taken to Robe Medical Centre cold and shaking but otherwise unharmed.
Without the help of the local community this incident could have had a worse outcome for the man.
Police wish to thank everyone involved in the rescue.
