Bliss in Kingston celebrated six years of business on Friday, April 6.
Free nibbles were provided by the Kingston Community School parents and friends committee and Suzanne provided the bubbles. Traditionally the celebrations held annually are to raise money for bliss bags for children at the Kingston SM Hospital.
Suzanne said she decided to do something different this year after having a very successful year in 2017, raising funds for a total of 100 bliss bags.
“We decided to donate 15 per cent of the sales to the Kingston Community School parents and friends group,” she said.
Suzanne mentioned that because the parents and friends committee provided the nibbles, they were able to donate more money.
“We donated a total of $651, $267 of which was raised courtesy of a raffle valued at $150 donated by Bliss and then $384 from sales on the night.”
