Matt Prior has been rewarded for three seasons of consistency with selection in the Blues’ team for State of Origin II.

But was it the right choice?

In The Clear NRL Podcast co-host Chris Boulous and St George and Sutherland Shire Leader Andrew Parkinson debated the topic on this week’s show.

“I think Prior is the safe choice but I would have went for Tariq Sims,” Boulous said.

“He was in camp for game one and provides an x-factor. The Queensland halves would be breathing a sigh of relief.”

In this week’s show, co-hosts Boulous and Matt Lawrence provide their mid-season reviews for the top eight teams with St George scoring an A+ rating.

“Brisbane are the most likely to drop out of the eight,” Lawrence said.

“I think Penrith might drop out of the top four with the Roosters replacing them.”
