Alison Nunan plays 350th game for Robe Netball Club

Robe Netball Club superstar Alison Nunan has had a country netball career second to none.

One of Robe’s iconic club stalwarts, Alison celebrated her 350th senior game on Saturday at home against Kalangadoo.

According to Robe Netball Club records this would make Alison the highest games record-holder for the club, which is another incredible achievement in her outstanding netball career.

Alison began her Robe netball career in 1982 as a junior, and has since been a dominating presence.

She has won numerous awards for the Robe Netball Club, having won multiple club best and fairest, runner-up best and fairest, best in finals, and memorial and perpetual club trophies, as well as a Mid SE Netball League best and fairest.

Her positive attitude and passion for the game has always made her a great leader and club representative.

Alison has been a great contributor to the Robe Netball Club not only as a player, but also as a president, secretary, junior coordinator, committee member, and has also coached many teams in all different grades.

She is a very valued umpire for the club, having earned her C Grade Badge, and has been able to lend her knowledge and experience to other umpires and players of the club.

Her netball skills and knowledge have earned her well deserved respect around the club and with the netball and football communities and in 2016 Alison was recognised for the numerous contributions she has made to the Robe Netball Club when she was awarded a life membership.

What an achievement and something for the Robe Netball Club players to aspire to, a 50 year young legend playing 350 games for her chosen club.

"Congratulations Alison on this massive achievement of 350 senior games for the Robe Netball Club, we are privileged to have someone with your knowledge and experience at our club” club president Kim Ross said.

Alison’s B grade team beat Kalangadoo on the weekend by nearly 30 points, with the Pies only scoring six.

It was a great way to end the season, with the Pies sitting above Robe on the ladder.
