Busy Kingston shop ‘Bliss’ will be moving down the road to the Historic Courthouse on Hanson Street.
Owner Suzanne Drabsch explained that Bliss is expanding, with her and her team looking to re-brand the business and giving themselves a ‘refreshing’ look and a new and exciting space.
“We are excited about the planned foreshore development which I think will benefit all Kingston business,” she said. “Hopefully we will benefit from it when we move down that way.”
Customers will be able to experience more Bliss as the shop and alfresco areas will be larger. Suzanne’s aim is for her customers to have the same Bliss experience, but in a new, exciting location.
Suzanne added that she will be revealing some of the new ideas that she has within the coming months as the business expands.
“We’re going to work further on our outdoor spaces,” she said. “We’ve got new brands and products coming and some exciting new menu options as well.”
The new business will entail a new logo, new colour schemes, new branding, new gift vouchers and new products that will be exclusive to Kingston.
“If it wasn’t for the support of our customers, we would not have been able to make this happen,” Suzanne said. “We are really excited and prepared to work hard over summer to pull it all together and hopefully bring tourists to Kingston to experience Bliss and the rest of the town.”
Bliss will be holding a reveal night on Wednesday September 5 from 5-7pm, with Suzanne inviting the community to join them in celebrating the move, also providing nibbles, drinks and having a 10% off store-wide sale throughout the evening.
The new location will be open for business the following day on September 6, open 7 days a week moving forward. Bliss will be closing from September 3-5 for the move.
Suzanne also had some people to thank, giving special mentions to local businesses who have been exceptional, as she has collaborated with them to come up with some new ideas as they have encouraged her to implement new concepts within the business.
“I need to give special mentions to Julie Trenaman from JT Elements, Derek, Jesse and Luke from Kingston Kabinets, Kevin Wright and staff from Kevin Wright Plumbing, Tom Wilks and Shaun and staff from SM Watts Electrical.”
