Playing in their first Grand Final for 7 years, Robe have come from behind to win the MSEFL Premiership with 3 seconds to spare.
The game was played in wet and windy conditions at Glencoe with their opponent Mt Burr holding the upper hand for most of the game, however Robe never gave up and with the wind in the final quarter managed to kick the final goal of the game in the dying moments.
In a bizarre ending to one of the tightest competitions in years, Robe secured their place in the Grand final winning their semi final with a kick after the siren, as Tom Rechner took a mark on the fifty, kicking a goal while the game was all tied up.
They then produced an amazing comeback in the Grand Final to win the Flag in the dying seconds. Craig Pitt kicked this one, as Egan Regnier hand balled it to him on the fifty, with Pitt snapping it toward the goals and the ball rolled over the line with just a few seconds to go.
A huge contingent of Robe supporters traveled to Glencoe to witness the game and a sea of red and white ran onto the oval to congratulate the team moments after the siren had sounded.
