Naracoorte Football Club has parted ways with senior coach Chris Ladhams.
In a statement on Friday morning, the club said: “Naracoorte Football Club’s A grade coach Chris Ladhams has resigned from his two-year contract after a year with the Demons to spend more time with his family in Adelaide.
“The club thanks Chris for his contribution to the club and wishes him and his family all the best for the future.
“We are now on the hunt to find a replacement to continue to build on the improvement that our club showed last year.”
We reported last month that all KNTFL clubs had coaches appointed for 2019 – that story here
Ladhams joined the Demons in October, 2017, with an extensive playing and coaching background.
A former AFL player with the Adelaide Crows, where he played 54 games, Ladhams has played and coached at a number of clubs through SA and Victoria since moving on from the AFL. He has been a prolific goalkicker with those clubs.
He played with North Adelaide in the SANFL, Nhill in Wimmera league, Nightcliff in the Northern Territory, Coolamon in the Riverina Football League, Ironbank Cherry Gardens in the Adelaide Hills league, then Nairne Bremer in the Hills league before coming to Naracoorte.
In his one season with Naracoorte, Ladhams played 11 games and kicked 36 goals, including seven goals in a game twice.
