SE shooters perform well at SA Champs

South East skeet shooters have shone at the South Australian Skeet Championships, held at the State Shooting Park in Adelaide over the long weekend.

Shooters from Mount Gambier Gun Club and Kingston Gun Club claimed places in State Teams, and will represent South Australia at the National Championships in Wagga Wagga in May.

Mount Gambier Gun Club's Ken Atkin will represent SA in the five-man Open Team, with Greg Kessegian first reserve.

Three South East female shooters make up this years Ladies State Team in Liz Rymill, Deb McPherson and Janette Densley. Mount Gambier Gun Club's Liz Rymill also won overall Ladies High Gun at the event and will captain the Ladies Team.

Two of the three Junior Team shooters also hail from the region, in Mount Gambier Gun Club's Doyle Yoannidis and Hannah Munro.

Kingston Gun Club shooter Kevin 'Kat' Mules shot his way onto the SA Veteran's Team.

The Eastern Zone, comprising shooters from Mount Gambier, Kingston and Wilkawatt won the Zone Team Shoot.
