Life coach Mandy Curnow a guest at WHAG

Following the Women's Health Advisory Group's (WHAG) International Women's Day breakfast at the Crown Inn Hotel; women's mental and emotional health was identified as the biggest "issue" for the women living within our region.

From that, the idea of a women's wellness event was born. The WHAG believed "wellness" and personal growth would be much more appealing to all women living within the area rather than focusing on mental health as an illness.

From that...we were lucky enough to organise Naracoorte-based life coach Mandy Curnow from MC Coaching to facilitate the event on Friday, June 21.

Mandy promises to provide a night full of very useful tips, strategies and tools in personal development, letting go of judgement of ourselves and others, stepping out of our comfort zones and opening our mind to all possibilities, as well as our general well-being.

Mandy is a Registered Nurse and has a Diploma in Mental Health.

She currently offers workshops, wellness retreats, group and staff coaching, workplace presentations and 1:1 sessions throughout the Limestone Coast. The WHAG will raffle off a 1:1 MC Coaching Session on the night.

The evening is a free women's event at the Lacepede Bay Motel and nibbles will be provided. And all ages are encouraged to attend, please RSVP by June 17.

The WHAG want to say a huge thank you to the Hospital Advisory Council, the Kingston District Council and the Lacepede Bay Motel for their support with this amazing event. The WHAG look forward to seeing our local women on June 21. - Anna Wilks
