Mullinger Park will hold its 16th Annual Sale at Naracoorte Showground Pavillion on Thursday, October 3 from 1pm. The offering will include 200 Poll Dorset, 100 White Suffolk and 30 Suffolk.

Mullinger Park's Brett Shepherd said there would also be ten specially-selected rams on offer.

Progeny in the sale included that from new sires Hillden 16/730 and Leenala 16/150, the latter having been purchased at Leenala stud's final Poll Dorset ram sale, and Derrynock 16/128.

"That same year we bought an extra 30 stud ewes and their progeny will be among the Poll Dorsets," Brett said.

"In the White Suffolks, we added a Waratah 16/320, there will be progeny by him, and in the Suffolks added Allendale ram 16/1971, and his progeny will be in the sale."

Lambplan figures are available and all rams are Brucellosis-accredited No. 925, 6 in 1, OJD-vaccinated, drenched and backlined.

Lunch is provided and inspections are welcome from 11am.

Mullinger Park has been breeding Poll Dorsets for more than 50 years, registering its stud in 1990.

Mullinger Park bought the Netley Park White Suffolk stud in 2006 and added a Suffolk stud in 2008.

Stud breeders Brett and Amanda Shepherd, are one of the largest sellers of British Breed rams in the South East of South Australia.

Mullinger Park has a strong commercial approach to stud breeding, and thrive on the challenge to breed the perfect sheep. Their children are often spotted at sales and shows, helping their parents out with the stud rams.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mullinger Park did not show this year, but their mission to produce good length, good muscle, well-structured sheep that perform across the board in commercial enterprises remains true.

They have over the past few years continued to invest heavily in their AI program and acquire strong genetics to suit their clients' needs.
