The historic Cockle Train will return to the rails for the June Long Weekend, following the relaxation of Stage 2 Covid-19 Restrictions.
Three diesel-hauled trains will operate daily between Goolwa and Victor Harbor from Saturday, June 6, to Monday, June 8, inclusive only.
As a result of capacity restrictions on indoor seated attractions, the Cockle Train will have a maximum of 80 passengers on each journey, with tickets only available from Goolwa or Victor Harbor ticket offices prior to departure (no advance or online bookings available).
Due to these limitations, trains will not service Port Elliot or Middleton until further notice.
SteamRanger has increased its cleaning processes and has undertaken Covid-clean accreditation, as well as a COVID-SAFE plan to ensure a safe experience for our passengers and staff.
Due to infrastructure works being undertaken by City of Victor Harbor Council at Coral Street, services will then cease following the long weekend until Sunday, June 21, when train services will resume on Sunday's only until the July School Holidays.
It is timely to remind motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution when crossing our railway between Mt Barker and Victor Harbor, as trains can operate at any time of the day or night
